HONOLULU, HI (November 8, 2013) – Na Hoku Hanohano award winners to perform at Discover North Shore on November 16, 2013 from 6:30 p.m. Tickets for the main concert attraction featuring Fiji, Ooklah the Moc, and Nesian Nine starts at $25. Tickets are available at the Turtle Bay Resort in Watershed retail location on the ground level, as well as online at http://amtickets.com.

Discover North Shore will also be holding a free concert during the farm to table food experience, farmer’s market, and fashion show. Performing for the free concert are Josh Sharp, Isaak Moreno, Garland and Dave Sprague.

At the conclusion of the main concert at Kuilima Point, the official after party locations have been confirmed at Surfer, The Bar and Kula Grille. Performing live at Kula Grille are Rachel Akaka, Nesian Nine, Scott Carey and Kumuniu Music, with doors opening at 9:30 p.m. Performing live at Surfer, The Bar are Braddah Wayne, Moroni, Fiji and Ka’imihanano’eau Brede.

HONOLULU, HI (October 23, 2013) – From casual to formal, Discover North Shore will hold its own fashion show, highlighting brands that represent different lifestyles in the surrounding community. Discover North Shore, a community event that will feature the best fashion, food, music and art rooted in the North Shore of O‘ahu. The festival will be held at Turtle Bay Resort on Saturday, November 16, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m., and the fashion show is one of the event’s many options for family and friends to enjoy.

Brands that will be participating in Discover North Shore are as follows Turtle Bay and Surfer the Bar Merchandise, Plumeria Sun, Kaipua, Khush, Vans (Triple Crown merch), Quiksilver (In Memory of Eddie Aikau merch), Roxy Girls, and Variables with Jewelry by Kawela Kai and Beach Girl Jewels. Various apparel that will be showcased are apparel made from organic bamboo viscose, Hawaiian pareao designs, Paniolo shirts, skateboard, surf and snowboard wear and many more. Jewelry, made locally in North Shore, some made using shells and beach glass and special pieces made from rare sunrise shell or a Tahitian pearl.

EXCLUSIVE LOCAL SHRIMP TRUCK AND FARM TOUR TO BE FEATURED AT DISCOVER NORTH SHORE

HONOLULU, HI (October 21, 2013) – Every trip up to the North Shore of O‘ahu demands an obligatory visit to at least one of the many shrimp trucks scattered across the lush region. But instead of stopping by just one truck, what if locals and visitors had the opportunity to taste a sampling of the many shrimp trucks all at once? On day two of Discover North Shore, a launching celebration of art, food, fashion and music from the locale, there will be a shrimp truck and farm tour offered for all guests. With transportation arriving and departing from Turtle Bay Resort, the tour will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

The shrimp truck and farm tour will encompass a tasting from three different stops: Giovanni’s Shrimp Truck, Romy’s Kahuku Prawns & Shrimp, and Fumi’s Kahuku Shrimp. Participating guests will be shuttled in a luxe limo-bus and partake in exclusive tours at various trucks, including a look through Romy’s farm shrimp tank and a specialized guided farm tour of Kahuku Farms.

There will be two complete tour rotations: at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Each tour will last two hours and include a shrimp sample plate from each stop, a complimentary bottle of water, and a fresh fruit smoothie created from the fruits grown at Kahuku Farms. Free parking is available at Turtle Bay Resort’s self-parking lot. Guests are asked to check in 30 minutes prior to departure at Turtle Bay Resort’s Watershed Boutique. HONOLULU, HI (October 18, 2013) – Another locavore installation of November’s highly anticipated Discover North Shore festival is a unique farm-to-table collaboration between local North Shore farmers and chefs. On Saturday, November 16, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m., Discover North Shore at Turtle Bay Resort will present the best fashion, food, music and art rooted in the North Shore of O‘ahu, also incorporating an open farmers’ market where distinctive and delicious dishes will be served.

Confirmed partnerships include Pupukea Gardens with Thomas Naylor from Ke Nui Kitchen, Small Kine Farm with Junior Ah You and Maka Mahuka from Tita’s Grill, Kolea Farm with John Armstrong from Kula Grille, Twin Bridge Farms with Pa’akai, Kahuku Farms with Kahuku Farms Café, Hawaiian Fresh Farms with their own chefs, and LaniLove Gluten Free Breads with their very own healthy delights.
